My Insight on the Philippines' National Indigenous Peoples (IP) Month

As a grade 10 student, I think the National Indigenous Peoples (IP) Month is a really cool way to celebrate the rich cultures of our country's original inhabitants. This year's theme, "Weaving Culture, Enriching Future: Empowering Indigenous Communities as Bedrock of Sustainable Development," highlights how the traditions and knowledge of IPs are like threads in a big tapestry that can help build a better tomorrow. It's observed every October, and it reminds us that IPs have been living in harmony with nature for generations, using sustainable practices that we can all learn from. For me, this celebration is important because it shows that diversity isn't just something to appreciate—it's a strength that can drive progress.
