Celebrating the Fiesta in Vigan City
I traveled to Vigan to see the Fiesta of the Conversion of St. Paul. This celebration is very special because it shows the culture and history of the Heritage City of Vigan. The fiesta is also called the Longganissa Festival. Longganissa is a kind of Filipino sausage that Vigan is famous for. The people in Vigan celebrate with a lot of joy and pride. During the fiesta, the streets were filled with many people. Everyone was happy and excited. There were many dancers wearing traditional clothes in red and white colors. The dancers moved in groups, showing beautiful dances that told stories of their culture. Many visitors and locals watched the performances closely. It was fun to see the smiles on everyone's faces. The city was decorated with colorful banners, and the smell of longganissa cooking was everywhere. People enjoyed eating longganissa and other local foods.
